Darren Richards, PA-C, MSPAS, ATC

Darren grew up in Southern California and attended undergraduate school at the University of LaVerne, where he received his BS in Athletic Training.  In addition to studying sports medicine, Darren was also very involved in competing on the LaVerne water polo team.  After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of LaVerne, he went on to become certified in Athletic Training.  He subsequently worked at Jump Start Physical Therapy rehabbing a variety of orthopedic injuries and conditions, before moving on to treat sport injuries for top colligate athletes at the Claremont Colleges. Darren attended Physician Assistant school at Loma Linda University, completing rotations in general and trauma orthopedics at Arrowhead Regional Hospital, Newport Orthopedic Institute, and Hoag Hospital.  He went on to graduate with honors and became a Certified Physician Assistant in 2010. Darren joined the team of physician assistants at the Spine and Orthopedic Center in 2010.

Darren currently focuses on the treatment of spinal disorders, as well as general orthopedic and sports medicine conditions.  He also enjoys traveling, wakeboarding/skiing, snowboarding and spending time with his family and friends.
