Kenneth Nisbet

Ken grew up in Los Angeles, California and moved to Ashland, Oregon for his high school years. After graduating from high school Ken joined the United States Navy and was trained as a Naval Hospital Corpsman (medic). He spent his first two and a half years in La Maddalena, Sardegna, Italy on board the USS Orion (AS-18) serving the ships company and NATO forces stationed there. Ken was then transferred to Camp Pendleton, California where he worked with the United States Marines in the field and at one of the clinics on the base.

After receiving his honorable discharge from the United States Navy, Ken attended the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB) where he received his Bachelors of Arts degree in Philosophy (Ethics and Public Policy). While attending UCSB Ken worked as a Laboratory Technologist at Cottage hospital. After receiving his BA degree, he was accepted into the Physician Assistant graduate program at Arcadia University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He spent his first year (didactic year) on campus at Arcadia University. For his second year (clinical year) he trained at numerous hospitals and clinics primarily on the east coast (Medical Center of Calico Rock, Calico Rock, AR; Franklin Square Hospital, Baltimore, MD; Union Hospital, Elkton, MD; Women’s Total Care, Santa Barbara, CA; Marcelino DeSantos, MD., Richboro, PA; Abington Memorial Hospital, Abington, PA; James Lewis, MD., Philadelphia, PA; Derm DX, Hazzleton, PA; and Deborah Heart and Lung Center’s Medical Intensive Care Unit, Browns Mills, NJ). Ken received his Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) degree and moved back to Santa Barbara, CA.

He joined a private practice in Endocrinology where he focused primarily on preventative medicine and the treatment of endocrine disorders. His interest in preventative medicine lead him to join Dr. Moelleken’s practice. Ken currently focuses on the treatment of spinal disorders. He medically manages care through conservative means and assists Dr. Moelleken in surgery.
