Johanna Rooijakkers, PA-C, MSPAS

Board Certified Physician Assistant

Johanna was born in the Netherlands where she spent the first 16 years of her life before moving to the United States in 2000. She graduated High School in Poneto, IN in 2002 after which she attended college at Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW). She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2007 and an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology in 2010.

She then worked for 2 years as a radiologic technologist at Parkview Hospital before continuing her education and obtaining her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at Pacific University in Hillsboro, OR. During her didactic year she was able to spend time in Nicaragua as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to a group of elders. Her last year at Pacific University was spent in multiple states, including Washington, Oregon, Montana, Colorado and Arizona, where she gained valuable clinical experience.

She joined The Spine & Orthopedic Center in 2014 as a new grad and is excited to provide excellent care to her patients. In her spare time Johanna enjoys ballroom dancing, reading, cooking, baking, weight lifting, painting and horse riding.
