Alyssa grew up in a rural community in Central Illinois. After graduating from high school, she attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Chemistry. During her undergraduate years, she participated in research and was involved in her sorority’s academics and two philanthropies that focused on supporting children’s medical needs and making hearing aid services more accessible. Prior to graduate school, she earned her clinical hours working as a medical scribe in an orthopedic clinic. This is where her passion for orthopedics first began!
Alyssa was accepted into the Physician Assistant graduate program at Saint Louis University in Missouri. During her clinical training, she completed nine rotations at numerous hospitals and clinics throughout Missouri and Illinois, including rural, medically underserved areas. She also volunteered at a Health Resources Clinic committed to providing free health care services. After receiving her Master of Medical Science degree, she moved to California to start her career as a Physician Assistant.
Alyssa is excited to be a part of The Spine and Orthopedic Center community, and is looking forward to providing exceptional patient care to all. In her spare time, Alyssa enjoys hiking, going to the beach, interior decorating, and traveling with her twin sister.
