Rico Rodriguez

Rico Rodriguez grew up in San Diego, California. After graduating from high school Rico joined the United States Navy and was trained as a Naval Hospital Corpsman (medic). His Naval career spanned eight years; three years attached to a United States Marine Corps unit at Camp Pendleton, California, three years aboard the USS Gary (FFG-51) in San Diego, and two years at Naval Medical Center San Diego.

After receiving his honorable discharge from the United States Navy, Rico attended San Diego State University (SDSU) where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology in 2019. While attending SDSU and after receiving his BS degree, Rico worked as a rehabilitation aide at Sharp Healthcare until receiving his acceptance to the MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant graduate program at the University of Washington where he received his Master of Clinical Health Services (MCHS) degree in 2023. While attending, Rico completed medical rotations including Orthopedic surgery and Neurosurgery.

Rico joined The Spine & Orthopedic Center in 2023 as a new grad and is excited to provide quality, compassionate care to his patients. In his spare time Rico enjoys hiking, traveling, weight training, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
